Rosemary Bannister

Background and Experience

Rosemary is delighted to be able to combine her dual passions of the hospitality industry and professionalising the sales force by running HT Training.  Until 2001 Rosemary worked in a range of sales roles within the hotel industry, winning Young Sales person of the year in Ladbroke Hotels and Sales Person of the Year for Jarvis Hotels.  In addition she held senior sales roles with Intercontinental Hotels.   She started training as a necessary function of developing the sales skills of reactive staff within the hotels she was responsible for and was delighted to be a Regional Winner of the National Training Awards scheme for her M & E enquiry handling course.  Rosemary moved into training full time when she set up her own training business in 2001.  In 2008 she merged with Nina to form HT Training.

Qualifications

Rosemary graduated from Strathclyde University with degree in Hotel and Catering Management.  She has since undertaken numerous skills development courses and became a fellow of Institute of Sales and Marketing Management in 2001.  She gained a Diploma in Coaching from Newcastle College in 2003 and is currently studying for an Executive Coaching Diploma.
 

Professional Passion

Rosemary firmly believes in excellence in selling and in the hospitality industry so is determined to help both loose the negative image that they are sometimes given.  She loves nothing better than working with people to help develop their skills and confidence, then stand back and watch them fly.
 

Out and About

Rosemary has been a key member of The Hotel Booking Agents training committee since it’s inception in 2001. She is a Springboard Ambassador and regularly attends events at schools to promote the hospitality industry as a career of choice.  She also networks at relevant events and is happy to speak at conferences.
